FAQ
(As if we had any of the answers, anyway...)
Q: Just who are you guys, anyway?
A: Nobody special, really. We've been surfing the 'net since
'97, which is about the time that the Rocio pictures began to
surface. In fact, Rocio's pictures were some of the first that
we saw, so our interest in her has remained all of these years.
Q: What are you...some kind of stalker?
A: Uh, well...no...thanks for asking, though.
Q: Then why go through all of the effort for this site?
A: Well, partially because it's maddening that in this day and
age of information overload that more information about Rocio
is NOT available. If we could find more information about her
the normal way (i.e., a search engine), we wouldn't be doing
this. Heck, if we could even confirm or deny that this
is Rocio,
we'd be happy. Our real goal is to get more information about
her and post it for
all
to see.
We're
not the
only ones
who are
looking.
We've had over 50,000 unique hits since putting this site up,
with no advertising at all. And I doubt we will
advertise, because bandwidth costs enough as it is without additional
advertising costs.
Q: Ok, what will you do if you find her?
A: We're reminded of a poster we saw several years ago...three
kittens each have their paws and claws in a string of yarn stretched
out before them. They all have quizzical looks on their faces.
The caption reads: "Now that we've got it, what do we do
with it?" That's us, we think, if we ever do hear from Rocio.
First thing, we ask her if she wants the site up and running.
Maybe she has purposefully avoided the limelight all these years...maybe
she got married, had some kids, etc., and is living in bliss
in anonymity. We hope she wants it up, because a lot of people
will be disappointed if the mystery is left unsolved. If she's
ok with having the site up, then...well, at least we'd like to
post what she's doing, what other engagements (modeling, etc.)
that she is participating in, etc. A few people have e-mailed
us for her autograph, so maybe have a few autographed pictures
available, etc. Also, we could use it to promote her, if she
is still involved in modeling.
Q: How hard was it to get a copy of the magazine?
A: From our location in the US? A pain in the you-know-what.
We contacted a couple of Spanish magazine sellers and had them
look for us for a couple of months. Finally one found a copy
and sold it to us (not cheap, either). But it was (is) worth
it.
Q: Can you contact Rocio for me?
A: Uh, no. In case you missed it elsewhere in the site, we have
no idea where she is. Finding her, solving the mystery, is one
of the reasons for the site.
Q: How can I help?
A: Thanks for asking! If you have any Rocio information, send
it our way! If you speak Spanish, help us with the translation
(heaven only knows we need the help). If you live in Spain (or
Valladolid), let us know if you've ever seen or heard anything
more about her.
Q: Nothing else I can do?
A: If you have any contacts in the modeling world, including
contacts with any agents, please send an inquiry to them regarding
how to find the name of Rocio's agent. Even if she's been retired
for the last 5 years or so, odds are that at one time she had
an agent, and that agent may know how to contact her.
